Offit Kurman, an AmLaw 200 firm, is seeking a driven junior paralegal to support a busy group of litigation attorneys in our New York office (one focusing on Title IX law). This role combines paralegal work (30% billable) with administrative support (70%).
Responsibilities
- Manage busy attorney calendars and coordinate court dates, meetings, and events.
- Handle new client/matter intake and maintain organized case files.
- Prepare, file, and serve court documents (mail, e-filing, PACER/CM-ECF.)
- Draft and proof motions, affidavits, and client correspondence.
- Support attorneys with trial prep, binders, and hearing materials.
- Act as the first point of contact for clients, ensuring clear and professional communication.
- Assist with expense reports and support occasional firm initiatives (including social media).
Qualifications:
- 3+ years' litigation experience as a paralegal or legal admin (Title IX a plus).
- Strong e-filing experience in federal and state courts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, legal research tools, and client management systems.
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree required; paralegal certification preferred.
