This position ensures all electrical work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), Arizona state licensing regulations, and local codes applicable within the Tohono O'odham Nation.Compensation & BenefitsThis full-time position offers a competitive salary and robust benefits package:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, fixtures, and systems in residential and community buildings
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using test equipment and hand tools
- Ensure compliance with the NEC, IRC, and local electrical codes
- Interpret blueprints, circuit diagrams, and building plans
- Test electrical systems using ohmmeters, voltmeters, and other diagnostic tools
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring and related systems
- Direct and train assistants or apprentices as needed
- Install and connect electrical panels, circuit breakers, switches, outlets, lighting, transformers, and ground leads
- Perform conduit work including bending, cutting, and installing MC cable or tubing through walls, floors, and ceilings
- Generate material take-offs and provide sketches for job planning and supplies
- Operate hand and power tools, lifts, ladders, and scaffolding
- Work in both indoor and outdoor environments, sometimes in high or confined spaces
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 8 years of residential or commercial electrical experience
- Extensive knowledge of current IRC and NEC Codes
- Previous experience working on tribal housing or federal construction projects preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Current Journeyman Electrician License (Issued by Arizona Registrar of Contractors or equivalent)
- Certified Electrician in the State of Arizona
- Valid Arizona Driver's License with an acceptable driving record

Physical Demands

Work Environment
- Exposure to outdoor weather, extreme heat, electrical hazards, moving equipment, and confined spaces
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required
- Noise levels may vary from moderate to high
