Qualifications for a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT):

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program (CoARC or CAAHP-accredited)
• Associate of Science (A.S.) degree required

Licensure/Certification:

(All certifications required upon hire unless otherwise noted)

• NBRC-RRT – Registered Respiratory Therapist
• RCP – Respiratory Care Professional license
• BLS – Basic Life Support or BLS-I – Basic Life Support Instructor
• ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ACLS-I – ACLS Instructor
• PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support or PALS-I – PALS Instructor

RRT Experience:

• 0–2 years of clinical experience
• Minimum of 6 months in critical care
