Position Overview

We are seeking a JOC Communications Technician to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. This role involves providing technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, network systems, application access, and telecommunications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in problem-solving, communication, and working in mission-focused, high-visibility environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, responding to inquiries via phone or self-service ticketing systems.
• Provide support for hardware, software, networks, application access, and telecommunications systems.
• Diagnose, isolate, and analyze issues using historical data and records.
• Route support requests to appropriate specialists when necessary.
• Maintain accurate documentation and tracking databases.
• Identify recurring problems and notify management of patterns or trends.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related discipline and 3 years of related experience; OR high school diploma and 5 years of related experience with relevant certification.
• Compliance with DoD 8140 IAT II requirements (e.g., current Security+ CE certification).
• U.S. citizenship.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong technical and communication skills to facilitate effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience with DoD cryptographic equipment and related material handling.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting computer systems, networks, and operating systems, including Solaris, Unix, and/or Linux.
• Familiarity with Department of Defense messaging systems.
• Experience working in high-visibility, mission-driven environments with strict uptime requirements.
