Salary: $150,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure the provision and maintenance of safe, cost-effective, and operable rotating equipment and systems to meet contemporary needs.
- Prioritize machinery-related projects to optimize plant performance and resource allocation.
- Collaborate across disciplines with operations and mechanical personnel to enhance plant operations.
- Lead direct improvements to increase plant reliability and reduce downtime.
- Specify new rotating equipment in accordance with industry standards and company design practices.
- Conduct technical training for mechanical and operations staff to elevate team competencies.
- Oversee QA/QC processes for both on-site and off-site equipment repairs.
- Manage vendor surveillance during major machine repairs to ensure quality and compliance.
- Regularly review and optimize rotating equipment performance through detailed analyses and reporting.
- Assist during critical plant operations such as startups, shutdowns, and unexpected upsets.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience with industrial rotating equipment in the chemical or refinery industries.
- Thorough understanding of various compressors, pumps, fans, and blowers.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as API, ASME, PIP, and others relevant to rotating equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks efficiently.
- Proven experience as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Rotating Equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineering (PE) certification.
- Experience with predictive and preventive maintenance strategies for industrial equipment.
- Skills in using specialized software for equipment design and analysis.
- Leadership experience in a plant or project management role.
