ResponsibilitiesA well-designed network is critical to move data and enable agencies to achieve their missions. Crafting the right network requires technical skill and careful planning. We need an experienced network engineer to develop networks tailored to the Federal Government's needs.
As a network engineer, you will utilize your expertise in network design, architecture, system interoperability, OSI model, network transport layers, multi-protocol label switching, gateway protocols, virtual routing, and forwarding to support national defense and adapt to evolving threats. Your role involves upgrading or developing enterprise infrastructure, troubleshooting complex network issues, and enhancing security, reliability, and availability of mission-critical systems.
You will apply your skills in routing and switching, encryption integration, network design, IP engineering, and industry standards to optimize operations and modernization efforts. Your knowledge of cryptographic equipment, firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto), cloud migration, optical networking, SolarWinds, and industry standards will position you as a trusted advisor on mission-critical projects, impacting national security missions.
