Under general supervision, the Job Developer/Transition Coach performs a variety of duties related to administration of grant funded job training, job placement and school to work transition programs. Employees provide responsible assistance to students with exceptional needs in facilitation of their transition from school to the work environment. Employees are under general supervision of the program manager and work on a day-to-day basis with instructors and vocational education staff as appropriate.

Reinforce pre-vocational training skillsMonitor student performance to assure compliance with employer expectations and assist at job sitesProvide instruction in proper work behaviors, task sequencing and work habitsDevelop community awareness, independence and self-esteemAssist in developing mobility and travel skillsAssist in developing an understanding regarding money as relates to community and employmentAssist in developing safety skills needed in community and at job sitesTrain representatives of participating organizations for the purpose of complying with program guidelines and regulations/disability awarenessRecordkeeping and Communication
Maintain student employment reports and appropriate files for assigned grantsAssist students in obtaining documents required for employment and independencePrepare specific job task list for each studentParticipate in a variety of meetings, committees, workshops, etc. to gather information and assure knowledge of and compliance with program requirements.Qualifications
