Role/Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain JavaScript-based components integrated with Android system services.
• Debug and optimize backend service calls and integrations on Android.
• Use tools like Perfetto to profile and analyze system performance (CPU, memory, battery, I/O).
• Work with system drivers, JNI, and NDK to bridge JavaScript with native Android code.
• Analyze system logs, traces, and dumps to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and performance tuning.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and maintain high code quality through version control and automated testing.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5 to 7+ years of experience in JavaScript development, with at least 2 years focused on the Android platform.
• Strong understanding of Android system architecture, AOSP, and the Android build system.
• Proven experience in debugging and optimizing backend integrations on Android.
• Proficiency with Perfetto and other performance profiling tools.
• Experience working with system drivers and low-level Android components.
• Familiarity with JNI, NDK, and integrating JavaScript with native code.
• Solid grasp of asynchronous programming, event loops, and memory management in JavaScript.
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting system logs, traces, and crash dumps.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and collaborative development workflows.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range Minimum: $79,000 per year

Pay Range Maximum: $121,000 per year

A candidate's pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
