JAVA, Software Engineer Lead - LED FastStart : Job Details

• Ability to work from customer location and relocate if required
• Willing to overlap with India timezone for critical business activities and work extra hours (including weekends) to support critical go-live activities
• US citizen or GC holder

• Minimum 5 years of experience with DXC Insurance products
• Minimum 5 years of experience with DXC Insurance products and Java

• Support a team of software engineers in developing software products and solutions, providing guidance, code reviews, and technical support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, ensuring successful delivery of software projects.
• Assist in the professional growth and mentorship of team members through feedback, coaching, and career development planning.
• Contribute to the execution of the software engineering strategy, participating in strategic discussions and technology assessments.
• Manage project tasks and assignments, helping to prioritize and plan work to meet project goals.
• Monitor project timelines, resource allocation, and budgets for efficient execution.
• Identify and mitigate project risks proactively, working to resolve issues as they arise.
• Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science) or equivalent experience
• Typically, 6+ years of relevant experience in the Insurance industry, with at least 2+ years in a similar software engineering role
• Proficiency in Java or more software languages and development methodologies
• Strong programming and debugging skills
• Experience in leadership or mentoring roles
• Familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to learn and grow into leadership roles
• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Advanced degree in a related field is a plus
• Relevant certifications or training are a plus
