Data Platform is responsible for supporting key initiatives, managing the enterprise data lake for global embedded modem, Smart Mobility experiments, Manufacturing, and other enterprise data. The engineer will ensure the platform delivers capabilities for ingesting, classifying, cataloguing, data quality, governance, and availability. A Platform Software Engineer should have expertise in Java or Python, cloud platforms, and building applications at scale. They may be backend engineers, designing microservices with robust APIs, or full-stack engineers, delivering UI/UX solutions and frameworks to enable enterprise data platforms. Knowledge of SDLC, Git, and CI/CD is essential for independently designing, coding, testing, and deploying features.

• 8-10 years of experience as a Java Fullstack professional with proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Angular or ReactJS.
• 5-6 years of experience deploying applications on Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP preferred). Leadership skills are expected for individual contributor roles.
• Proficiency in Java, Angular/JavaScript, and designing cloud-based data pipelines and microservices using GCP tools like BigQuery, Dataflow, and Dataproc.
• Experience with RESTful API development, database management (PostgreSQL, MySQL, BigQuery), data governance, security, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Git, and troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and relevant certifications (e.g., GCP Data Engineer, GCP Professional Cloud) are preferred.

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field; Master's preferred.

• Design and develop scalable data pipelines and microservices supporting real-time and batch processing on GCP.
• Implement SOA and microservices architectures for modular, flexible data solutions.
• Contribute to full-stack integration, data ingestion, and data platform management using GCP services.
• Ensure data governance, security, performance optimization, and automation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and adhere to best practices. Note: The position is hybrid, starting at 2 days/week, with potential increase.
