Locations: Berkeley Heights NJ / Alpharetta GA Role Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Java Enterprise Architect to lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise Java applications. This role is ideal for a seasoned architect with deep expertise in Java technologies and a strong understanding of enterprise architecture within the financial services domain. Required Qualifications: Proven experience as a Java Architect, designing and developing enterprise-level Java applications. Strong proficiency in Java/J2EE and Spring Boot frameworks. 12+ years of hands-on experience with Java/J2EE technologies such as Servlets, JSP, JDBC, JMS, EJB, XML, JSON, etc. Experience with Java/J2EE application servers like Apache Tomcat, IBM WebSphere, or Oracle WebLogic. Familiarity with Java/J2EE security frameworks and protocols (OAuth, SAML, SSL). Solid understanding of Java design patterns and best practices. Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. Exposure to front-end technologies like Angular, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Experience with messaging platforms like Kafka or IBM MQ. Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies and agile practices. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Experience with AWS cloud platforms. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the financial services or fintech industry. AWS or Java-related certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Oracle Certified Java Architect). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Key Responsibilities: Architect and design enterprise-level Java applications using modern frameworks and cloud-native technologies. Lead technical design sessions and guide development teams on best practices and architectural standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, QA, and Product to ensure seamless delivery of solutions. Define and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and architectural principles. Ensure applications meet performance, security, and compliance requirements. Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions to improve system scalability and maintainability. Salary Transparency: Capgemini discloses salary range information in compliance with state and local pay transparency obligations. The disclosed range represents the lowest to the highest salary we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting, although we may ultimately pay more or less than the disclosed range, and the range may be modified in the future. The disclosed range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, geographic location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $130,000 - $160,000/ yearly. This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees. Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable. The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, or any other form of compensation that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company's sole discretion, consistent with the law.
