Java Developer - Lighthouse Technology Services : Job Details

*Remote Contract Opportunity* Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Java Developer position! This is a 12+ month contract opportunity and can be remote in the United States (EST working hours). This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. What You'll Be Doing:

• Provide design and technical direction in developing new or existing applications to solve basic to complex business problems.
• Serve as a principal application designer for major system modifications.
• Lead complex systems analysis, design, and development activities.
• Direct and monitor less experienced team members and coordinate development tasks.
• Manage the technical components of project plans.
• Participate in overall systems development lifecycle from analysis through testing.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging; prepare test data and execute test plans.
• Evaluate system interrelationships and provide technology-based solutions aligned with business goals.
• Create and review functional and technical documentation.
• Estimate tasks, timeframes, and resources for projects.
• Maintain system operations and recommend new technologies, tools, or procedures.
• Promote the use of development standards and best practices.
• Understand supported business functions, operations, and strategic direction.
• Adhere to company risk, regulatory, and internal control standards.
• Participate in due diligence, cost-benefit analyses, and related technical evaluations as needed.

What You'll Need to Have:

• Minimum of an Associate's degree and 5+ years of systems analysis and application development experience. In lieu of a degree, 7+ years of combined education and experience including 5+ years in the field.
• Proficient in Java, Spring Boot and RESTful API Development
• Familiarity with application development software and platforms.
• Strong problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects.
• Proficient with project management tools and documentation (charts, diagrams, etc.).
• Experience coordinating between technical and business units.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Capable of recommending and implementing effective technical solutions.
