Gray Construction is seeking a Japanese-speaking Project Engineer with a Mechanical Engineering background to join their offices in Charlotte, NC, or Atlanta, GA.About Gray Gray is a global service provider specializing in engineering, design, construction, smart manufacturing, and equipment manufacturing. Our comprehensive offerings include strategy, operational improvements, construction, engineering, automation & controls, and equipment manufacturing, enabling us to deliver customized solutions to sophisticated clients worldwide.Responsibilities Develop, update, and monitor project progress using QMS, including scheduling, estimating, and budgeting to ensure project timelines are met.Perform quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and bid solicitations.Research options and regulations as needed.Procure and coordinate delivery of materials, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to specifications and budget.Review and approve invoices and change orders.Negotiate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure scope coverage.Review shop drawings from vendors and subcontractors.Relocate to job sites if required to understand procurement and construction practices.Attend weekly site meetings and prepare reports such as progress analysis, schedules, and status updates.Maintain organized project files and report project status to supervisors.Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.Enforce Gray's safety policies on-site.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field.Minimum of three years of relevant experience.Basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and email; familiarity with scheduling software is a plus.Candidate Profile Ideal candidates are energetic, self-motivated, team-oriented, and passionate about collaboration and professional growth.
