THE SALVATION ARMY NORTH & CENTRAL ILLINOIS DIVISION PATHWAY FORWARD PROGRAM POSITION DESCRIPTION POSITION TITLE: Janitor LOCATION/ DEPT: Pathway Forward Program REPORTS TO: Janitorial Supervisor FLSA CATEGORY: Non-Exempt STATUS TYPE: RFT PAY GRADE: 402 PAY RANGE: $17.00 - $20.40 OUTCOMES The Janitor maintains Unit 1 as a clean, sanitary, and tidy environment. Responsible for the care and storage of custodial tools, supplies, and equipment. Makes repairs, paints, cleans, and maintains records on the facility. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES Cleans and orders common areas daily, on the established schedule. Supervises work crews when required. Monitors the premises for fire hazards and immediately reports same. Repairs, refinishes, and paints as directed. Ensures that bulbs light and that washrooms are appropriately stocked.
