Janitor - Full Time Day Shift - Stony Brook University : Job Details

At Stony Brook Medicine, our Janitors are responsible for the cleaning, maintenance, and care of the hospital and adjacent grounds and sidewalks. Our Janitors respond to building issues and perform basic maintenance; submit work orders for building repairs; and order and restock cleaning supplies. Qualified candidates should demonstrate excellent intrapersonal skills and time management skills. They should have attention to detail and be able to work with all levels of the organization. Duties of a Janitor may include the following but are not limited to: Performs a variety of cleaning, maintenance, and care activities in the assigned area including mopping, washing, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, moving and setting up furniture, emptying trash, recycling, and other related duties as described in greater detail in the classification standard for Cleaner.
