Job Description:

As an IT Engineer, you will work with a team of IT professionals implementing custom environments and resolving technical issues in support of a next-generation collaboration capability. This capability is a high-visibility requirement with the Customer, integrating the latest IT commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware and software.

Additionally, you will be at the forefront:

  • Developing and enforcing security protocols for secure, multi-party capabilities for users across various domain classifications.
  • Working with various users to collect requirements for data centers, including mission analysts, data owners, GOTS and COTS developers, and mission data consumers and owners.
  • Conducting site surveys, preparing site requirements, and installation plans.
  • Building, configuring, and testing systems and hardware prior to shipment and deployment.
  • Creating and updating documentation, including post-installation packages, guides, test plans, technical reports, and presentations.
  • Monitoring, sustaining, and improving processes during production environment operations.
  • As a Windows specialist, focusing on mission capabilities and Windows-based COTS applications and servers.

The Level 2 ITE Windows shall possess the following capabilities:

  • Developing and reviewing system architecture and use cases.
  • Managing and tuning technology for optimal availability and performance.
  • Leading large or medium complex IT projects and small projects independently.
  • Developing models for future hardware and software enhancements.
  • Developing and conducting training programs.
  • Advising on complex hardware/software solutions to enhance IT infrastructure.
  • Interfacing with organizational levels to resolve system engineering issues.
  • Providing regular status updates, highlighting issues and solutions.
  • Guiding development of technological and operational ideas.
  • Delivering technical briefs to government and contractor teams.
  • Providing advice on new platform integration regarding cost, schedule, and performance.
  • Managing installation, maintenance, and support of technical infrastructures.
  • Offering advanced solutions to complex IT problems.
  • Performing analyses, research, and reporting.
  • Researching and analyzing client business to draw conclusions and prepare reports.
  • Developing security procedures for design reviews and operational monitoring.
  • Providing guidance on automated solutions for complex information processing problems.

Qualifications:

  • Eight (8) years' experience as an IT Engineer in similar scope programs. Bachelor's in relevant field required.
  • Master's degree can substitute two years of experience; four years of additional experience can substitute for a degree.
  • Experience with Windows Client and Server OS, WSUS, Active Directory, Exchange, SQL, Endpoint Manager (System Center Suite).
  • Ability to troubleshoot using logs, manage backups, and perform system rebuilds and upgrades.

Certifications Required:

  • Security+

Position requires active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph

Pay Range: 153,000-202,000
