ESC is a growing HR outsourcing company, headquartered in Amherst, which administers payroll, benefits, and human resources consulting services for our clients. We are seeking to add a full time, IT Technician to our team! This position will support ESC's Technical Services and Support Team and be responsible for overseeing various computer operations of the company including but not limited to installing servers and configuring various systems, setting up end-users, ensuring optimal performance of all software and hardware, and making sure every technical aspect is secure and running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Scripting and custom programming to provide customized solutions for customers.
  • Perform basic set-up and maintenance of user profiles, computers, printers, copiers and other basic systems and devices.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve IT service tickets; escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Provide end user support on all systems and applications.
  • Administer the maintenance, back-ups and offsite replication of servers, databases and electronic files.
  • Monitor system performance, inventory management, software upgrades and hardware maintenance on desktops, laptops, printers, copiers and other equipment.
  • Support the administration of security policies, scans and vulnerability remediation including malware management and removal, routine testing and help coordinate security audits.
  • Assist with active directory administration, DNS/DHCP, general domain management and maintenance.
  • Provide WSE user support for account credential management and portal access for the company's variety of products and services.
  • Identify, research and resolve technical problems.
  • Manage collaborative communication tools such as Webex, Zoom and TEAMS.
  • SharePoint administration and policies management.
  • Create system reports and provide assistance to end users in creating reports.

The successful candidate will have:

  • 2+ years of IT support or related experience. Internship or project experience considered.
  • Associate's degree (or equivalent experience) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Administering HP and Aruba switches.
  • Windows Servers 2012 – 2022.
  • RMM or other management software experience.
  • Webex, including phone system implementation.
  • Networking protocols – TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, Firewall.
  • Powershell and Batch scripting experience.
  • Office 365 and MS Exchange.
