Overview
This position reports to the CRC Director of Information Technology and interfaces with CRC's Service Desk and Integration Partners, as well as internal stakeholders, vendors, and other service providers.
Administration
Support IT financial management, cost control, reporting, and planning;
Update and maintain project plans and status reports;
Establish and maintain good relationships with vendors, service providers, and end users.
Skills Requirements
Management
Working knowledge of project management best practices;
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to develop rapport with others;
Excellent technical judgment, appreciable independent evaluation, creativity, and latitude in making decisions are expected;
Proficient in the creation of technology/application documentation;
Professional approach, demeanor, and attitude. Able to take control when required, defer when necessary, and have a sense of urgency to escalate issues appropriately.
Technical
Deep knowledge of Server Operating Systems and Cloud Computing (Windows Server, Linux, Azure, VMWare, AWS, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace), current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and systems performance monitoring;
Has extensive engineering knowledge and is considered an expert in one or more engineering specialties;
Knowledge of relational database theory/architecture and OLAP;
Expertise in implementing, configuring, and testing IT solutions.
Education/Experience Requirements
Equivalent of a Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-focused program, or demonstrated pursuit of relevant and current technical certifications and self-improvement activities;
3+ years of progressive experience in a corporate IT role supporting modern infrastructure and applications, with at least 1 year of experience as a Systems Engineer.
