IT System Engineering Manager - Japanese Bilingual preferred- Job Num: 57552 Information Technology Job DescriptionTitle: IT System Engineering Manager - Japanese Bilingual preferred- Classification: Exempt Salary: $75-80K(DOE) Department: IT Reports To: Director, Senior Manager Location: Brea, CA Overview A growing company in the entertainment industry is seeking an experienced IT System Engineering Manager to lead the design, development, testing, and delivery of IT systems. This role plays a key part in driving technical innovation and aligning systems with business goals. The ideal candidate will collaborate across departments, document technical requirements, and help strengthen IT governance and engineering processes. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business needs and define system requirements and technical designs
• Recommend technical solutions to improve systems and processes
• Lead system planning, backlog estimation, and task sequencing
• Participate in Agile/Scrum-based project delivery
• Ensure technical quality and continuous improvement
• Develop front-end web components using modern frameworks
• Build server-side solutions using Microsoft technologies
• Automate or streamline internal processes with custom systems/tools
• Integrate systems via APIs and support ERP/back-office platforms
• Document specifications and maintain clear technical records
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to ensure performance and compliance
• Other duties as assigned by senior leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 5+ years of software development experience
• Strong understanding of OOP, UI design, and system architecture
• Proficiency in JavaScript, SQL, VBA, and Linux environments
• Skilled in Excel macros (VBA) and Microsoft tools
• Familiarity with design patterns, data structures, and UML
• Experience with POS systems, SKU management, and ERP integrations
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to lead projects and work cross-functionally
• Japanese language proficiency is a plus (not required)

Other Requirements

• Occasional local travel and business trips required
• Must be able to sit, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
