Job Title: IT System Administrator Location: Main office - Orange Blossom Trail Department: Information Technology Reports To: Director of IT Job Type: Full-Time On-Site Position Summary: We are seeking a proactive and client-focused IT System Administrator to join our IT team in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The IT System Administrator is responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure including servers, network systems, cloud services, cybersecurity tools, and end-user support. This role ensures the availability, reliability, and security of systems and contributes to continuous improvement in IT operations. Key Responsibilities:
  • Infrastructure Management: Support and maintain physical and virtual servers, storage systems, backups, and network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery readiness. Use available tools including Zoho ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus Asset Management, GoToAssist RMM, etc. To deploy operating system and software patches, system upgrades, and firmware updates in a timely manner with minimal disruption to clinical operations.
  • System Administration & Support: Install, configure, and maintain Windows Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies. Administer Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Azure AD, and other cloud platforms.
Troubleshoot server, hardware, software, and network issues. Provide end-user support for our Electronic Health Record Epic systems and other clinical and administrative software platforms.
  • Cybersecurity & Compliance: Support the implementation and enforce compliance of security protocols to protect patient data and comply with NIST CFS, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and other relevant standards and healthcare regulations.
  • Technical Support & Maintenance: Provide Tier 1 level support for IT incidents, requests, and service disruptions. Collaborate with teammates to ensure prompt issue resolution and user support. Assist with the planning and execution of IT infrastructure projects such as server upgrades, network expansions, and system migrations.
  • Documentation & SOPs: Support and maintain thorough documentation of system configuration changes, network diagrams, user permissions, and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications:Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in System Administration or Network Administrator role, preferably in a healthcare or regulated industry environment.
  • Hands-on experience with ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceDesk Plus, Datto RMM, Jira Service Management, ServiceNow, etc.).
  • Experience in managing Windows Server 2022, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory DNS/DHCP, and virtualization platforms (VMware or Hyper-V).
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong understanding of ITIL or ITSM best practices (ITIL certification a plus).
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows OS, Office 365, networking basics, and enterprise applications.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, remote support tools, and asset management.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or VMWare Certified Professional.
  • Experience in a healthcare, nonprofit, or multi-site organization.
  • Working knowledge of change, incident, and asset lifecycle management.
  • Scripting or automation experience (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is a plus.
  • Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, MiPac, HST, Intergy or similar.
Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds of equipment.
  • Travel between healthcare centers within central Florida.
