IT Support Technician

This is a Junior / Mid level IT support role. Full Time, Hourly. Prefer candidates in the Baltimore metro area, close to our Columbia MD corporate HQ. LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY PLEASE.

Do you have Geek Squad type of experience? Help Desk? Troubleshooting? Good basic skills or education, and a willingness to learn our systems and processes. This is a depot position where our IT Support tech will be largely responsible for provisioning equipment for our employees throughout our enterprise. Work with other IT Team Members on support projects across all of our branches as needed. Tablets, Laptops, Smart Phones, Desktops, MS Office, other Systems, Hardware & Software...

As an IT support associate, you must be able to perform a variety of complex information technology support duties to ensure the smooth delivery of technology services. Monitors, operates, coordinates, assists, and trains others in the operation of computer hardware, software, and peripherals in order to achieve the desired result.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Acts as lead to provide technical support in the use of personal computer hardware, software, and specialized mainframe technology or operates a multi-platform, complex computer environment or monitors the production scheduling, execution, and successful completion of production jobs.
  • This position will support our growing Tech Needs (Hardware, Software, Laptops, Phones, Tablets, etc.).
  • Troubleshoots, diagnoses problems, implements corrective action procedures and/or escalates to other technical resources as appropriate.
  • Experience with Desktop Support.
  • Mobile Device Management - Phones & Tablets for Service Techs - Electronic Asset Management.
  • Preferred: A+ Certification.
  • Hardware experience preferred.
  • Light Software troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
  • Basic Network Administration.
  • MS Windows.
  • MS Office.
  • Strong Customer Service & Excellent Communication skills.
  • Seeking 2 - 4 years of solid experience in a fast-paced environment, supporting a medium/large Team.
Experience/ Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, associates and college degrees preferred.
