IT Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist with a strong background in Cisco network infrastructure and virtual server environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to internal users, maintaining IT systems, and ensuring high availability of infrastructure and applications. This role requires proficiency in Zoom, Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server, and Office 365 platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to end-users for hardware, software, network, and application issues.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain Cisco network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Manage and maintain virtual server environments (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar).
  • Administer Active Directory including user account management, group policies, and security permissions.
  • Support and configure Microsoft Windows Servers (2016/2019/2022).
  • Assist with Office 365 administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Provide Zoom platform support for meetings, webinars, and AV configurations.
  • Maintain documentation for IT procedures, systems, and troubleshooting processes.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues to ensure uptime and reliability.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support ongoing projects and infrastructure improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security policies and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in an IT support or system administration role.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment and configuration.
  • Proven expertise in virtualization platforms such as Cisco Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
  • Experience administering Office 365 and related cloud-based services.
  • Proficiency in supporting Zoom for enterprise collaboration.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

  • Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA).
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSA, Microsoft 365 Certified).
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting or other automation tools.
  • Familiarity with backup/recovery and disaster recovery solutions.
