Responsibilities:
  • Offer technical support to company staff and troubleshoot computer/printer/telephone problems in a timely manner.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot network connectivity issues, software malfunctions, and hardware failures.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and update software and hardware as needed.
  • Assist with user account management, password resets, and access control.
  • Monitor security certificates and company compliance requirements.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or vendors as needed.
  • Anticipate and report the cost of replacing or updating computer needs.
  • Maintain a positive and professional manner while interacting with Thomas staff and vendors, while upholding high levels of confidentiality.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or computer engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, preferably in a multi-location environment.
  • Strong understanding of hardware and software troubleshooting practices.
  • Experience with network troubleshooting and basic networking principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows operating systems and common office applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective communication skills, including speaking, writing and active listening.
