Responsibilities:
- Offer technical support to company staff and troubleshoot computer/printer/telephone problems in a timely manner.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot network connectivity issues, software malfunctions, and hardware failures.
- Install, configure, maintain, and update software and hardware as needed.
- Assist with user account management, password resets, and access control.
- Monitor security certificates and company compliance requirements.
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or vendors as needed.
- Anticipate and report the cost of replacing or updating computer needs.
- Maintain a positive and professional manner while interacting with Thomas staff and vendors, while upholding high levels of confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or computer engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, preferably in a multi-location environment.
- Strong understanding of hardware and software troubleshooting practices.
- Experience with network troubleshooting and basic networking principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows operating systems and common office applications.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Effective communication skills, including speaking, writing and active listening.
