The IT Support Specialist provides first-line technical support for employees, resolving a wide range of IT issues submitted through our helpdesk system (Zendesk). This role supports day-to-day IT operations, assists with office AV needs, and contributes to various IT projects that enhance company-wide technology systems and services. COMPANY PERKS

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Respond to and resolve helpdesk tickets in Zendesk in a timely and professional manner
  • Support office-based technology such as conference room AV systems, printers, and workstation setups
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
  • Assist with onboarding/offboarding tasks including provisioning equipment and accounts
  • Manage user accounts and licensing across core systems
  • Collaborate with team members on special IT projects and technology rollouts
  • Document resolutions and update internal knowledge base
  • Provide friendly, clear communication to end users with varying levels of technical experience
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in technical support or a similar role.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions
  • Quick learner with the ability to research and resolve unfamiliar issues
  • Proactive mindset with strong time management and task ownership
  • Comfortable learning new technologies and adapting to change
  • Able to work effectively both independently and in a team environment, including remote work
  • Basic technical knowledge of:
    • Windows operating systems
    • Microsoft Office and Teams
    • Multi-factor authentication (MFA) and Single Sign-On (SSO)
    • Network fundamentals and cloud file sharing platforms such as Box
PREFERENCES
  • Active Directory and Microsoft Entra
  • Windows Server environments
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Azure cloud services
  • AV systems (e.g., conference room setup, A/V troubleshooting)
  • Basic cybersecurity principles
  • Zendesk or similar IT ticketing systems
  • Box or other enterprise file sharing tools
  • A+ or other entry-level IT certification a plus
