Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated IT Support Specialist to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the comprehensive support and maintenance of our computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. This includes the installation, diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and upgrading of hardware and software to ensure optimal workstation performance and user productivity. You will proactively troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely, effective support and training to end users, fostering a seamless technological experience across our Michigan operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide prompt and effective technical support to end-users via in-person interactions, phone, and remote assistance tools.
  • Execute the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of diverse hardware (desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices) and software applications.
  • Diagnose and adeptly resolve complex technical issues, encompassing hardware, software, network connectivity, and system performance problems.
  • Efficiently manage user accounts, group policies, and access permissions within Active Directory and other relevant systems.
  • Maintain meticulous IT documentation, support logs, and an accurate inventory of IT assets for streamlined operations and auditing.
  • Provide robust support for critical cloud platforms, including Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, ensuring seamless user experience and data integrity.
  • Actively assist with the implementation, monitoring, and updating of IT security measures to safeguard company data and systems.
  • Coordinate effectively with external vendors for the procurement of hardware and software, as well as for specialized support services.
  • Travel to various local dealership locations as required to provide on-site technical support and resolve escalated issues.

Qualifications:

  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of demonstrable hands-on experience in IT support, helpdesk operations, or a similar technical role.
  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate) are strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience with LAN/WAN networking concepts (specifically Layer 3), TCP/IP, and practical experience in Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022).
  • Proficiency and practical experience with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 administration and support.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including advanced use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Solid understanding of VoIP phone systems and their configuration/troubleshooting.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, manage multiple priorities efficiently, and adapt to evolving technological landscapes.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to various dealership locations.
