We are seeking an IT Specialist with a minimum of 5 years of experience in IT support or systems administration, preferably within Microsoft and Cisco environments. This role goes beyond basic desktop support-providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical assistance, troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues, and supporting enterprise-level servers, networks, and voice systems. This is an on-site position at the NMG headquarters in Walton Hills, OH. You'll play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our core infrastructure, assisting with deployments, upgrades, integrations, and receiving escalations that require elevated access and deeper technical insight. From monitoring tools to system patching, your work will impact the stability and performance of our organization's technology footprint. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Serve as a Tier 2 support resource, resolving advanced end-user and infrastructure issues, and collaborating with Tier 3 teams on more complex problems as needed • Provide primary technical support for end-user devices and technologies in a Microsoft- and Cisco-centric environment, while assisting with the maintenance and support of broader IT systems, including servers, networking, VoIP, and cloud services, in collaboration with specialized infrastructure and security teams. • Use administrative tools, monitoring systems, and network utilities to identify, diagnose, and resolve system-level issues. • Deliver remote and in-person support using enterprise-grade remote management and diagnostic tools. • Actively participate in infrastructure projects, upgrades, deployments, and integrations, ensuring minimal downtime and alignment with IT best practices. • Apply structured troubleshooting methods to identify root causes and implement permanent fixes for recurring technical issues. • Perform and verify system patching, software deployments, and security updates across all environments. • Maintain and improve uptime for shared resources like printing environments, file servers, and communication platforms. • Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical business systems and respond to major incidents after hours. • Collaborate with cross-functional IT team members to improve processes, reduce escalations, and drive system improvements. • Accurately log, track, and resolve support tickets, ensuring SLAs and customer satisfaction are consistently met. • Provide clear documentation and user guidance for both technical procedures and system usage. • May require travel between local company sites to provide on-site technical support and assist with equipment or infrastructure rollouts. KEY QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience). • Minimum of 5 years' experience in IT support or systems administration, preferably within Microsoft and Cisco-based environments. • Strong experience with End User Support, infrastructure support, including servers, networking, patching, VoIP, and security systems. • Proven ability to independently resolve advanced Tier 2 technical issues and effectively collaborate with Tier 3 teams on complex, cross-system problems. • Familiarity with IT service management systems, ticketing workflows, and service request tracking. • Proficiency with administrative tools, monitoring platforms, and network utilities used in diagnosing and supporting enterprise systems. • Experience managing software deployments, patch management, system upgrades, and hardware lifecycle operations. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Broad understanding of enterprise infrastructure components including networking, security, VoIP, and server technologies. • Ability to interpret logs, metrics, and system behavior to resolve both routine and advanced technical problems. • Skilled in using elevated access responsibly to administer backend systems and support escalated issues. • Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills with high attention to detail. • Effective communicator who can explain complex technical topics to non-technical users. • Team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes initiative in solving problems proactively. • Customer-first mindset with a commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality IT service.
