The IT Specialist at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital will be an on-site position responsible for setting up, managing, and troubleshooting hardware, software and other technology systems used to maintain our computer and software networks. The IT Specialist will report to the Chief Information Officer. An effective IT Specialist uses a variety of soft and technical skills and industry knowledge to provide the most efficient and comprehensive support they can. Desired skills include but are not limited to:

- Effective communication skills, including speaking, writing, and listening.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking assistance.
- Perform remote trouble shooting using diagnostic tools and technical skills.
- Determine the best resolution based on the issue being presented.
- Record support requests and resolutions in the organization ticketing software and One Note.
- Review diagnostics and assess the functionality and efficiency of technology systems.
- Ensure all systems are up-to-date and secure.
- Assist with creating and implementing ITSecurity policies and procedures.
- Develop relationships with vendors supporting Lawrence County Memorial Hospital.
- Assist CIO and IT team with maintaining appropriate inventory levels for the organization.
- Install and update organizational software and hardware as needed.
- Train new and existing employees in new hardware and software.
- Anticipate and report the cost of replacing or updating computers, copiers, printers, and phones.
- Initiate communications with the team and Chief Information Officer for any unusual IT situations that may arise.
- Lead or co-lead IT projects as assigned.
- Assume the role of Subject Matter Expert for assigned software and technologies.
- Attend daily huddles, team meetings, and other meetings as scheduled.
- Attended all required training.
- 24/7 on-call support as assigned.
Education-Experience:
- Associate degree in computer related field
- Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of education.
- Equivalent IT certifications will be considered in lieu of education.
