We are seeking an experienced IT Director and Solution Development Lead to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned IT professional to lead our Solutions Development team. As the Solution Development Lead, you will be responsible for managing a team of 6-8 developers, establishing plans to enhance existing systems and processes, and ensuring the team's capabilities align with the company's business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage a team of 6-8 developers, ensuring they are well-educated and trained on best practices

- Develop and implement plans to enhance existing systems and processes, working closely with various management teams

- Manage Jira projects, defining project sets, establishing sprints, and reporting on progress

- Address team concerns, assess team member participation, and ensure the team's knowledge base is sufficient and growing

- Communicate effectively with various departments, evaluating their needs and fitting them with currently deployed systems

- Extract and evaluate data to determine if systems are functioning as expected

- Investigate new technologies and define how artificial intelligence can assist the organization from a development standpoint

- Read and develop code, evaluating the code of developers to ensure compliance with expectations

Requirements:

- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to inspire team members to action and make decisions that impact system communication and personnel interaction

- Strong Jira management capabilities, with experience defining project sets, establishing sprints, and reporting on progress

- Excellent personnel management skills, with the ability to address team concerns and assess team member participation

- Strong interdepartmental communication skills, with the ability to listen to departmental needs and evaluate their fit with currently deployed systems

- Data management capabilities, with the ability to extract and evaluate data to determine system functionality

- Programming skills, with the ability to read and develop code and evaluate developer code

- AI understanding and implementation experience, with the ability to define how AI can assist the organization from a development standpoint

What You'll Do:

A typical day in this role will involve meeting with the development team, conducting planning sessions, and addressing problems that arise. You'll work closely with various departments, evaluating their needs and developing solutions to meet those needs. You'll also investigate new technologies, assess their potential impact, and define how they can be leveraged to drive business success.
