Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Account Manager with a strong background in IT staffing and talent acquisition to join our team and support our government-sector clients in Southern California, with a strong preference for candidates who live in or near Orange County. This role will focus on both nurturing existing relationships and generating new business opportunities within local, state, and federal government markets.
As the primary point of contact for your portfolio of clients, you will be responsible for driving growth, ensuring client satisfaction, and promoting Intratek's full suite of IT services and staffing and talent acquisition solutions. You will collaborate closely with our recruiting team to identify, attract, and place top-tier IT professionals who meet the evolving needs of our public sector clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between Intratek and assigned clients, managing relationships with integrity, transparency, and a service-first mindset.
- Cultivate and expand existing client accounts while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the Southern California public sector market.
- Maintain a deep understanding of client needs, business goals, and active project statuses to ensure seamless delivery and client satisfaction.
- Lead contract negotiations, renewals, and proposals in collaboration with our Recruiting and Delivery teams.
- Partner with internal recruiting and talent acquisition teams to ensure timely delivery of qualified IT professionals that align with client requirements.
- Proactively identify and resolve client issues or risks, escalating where appropriate to leadership.
- Ensure that deliverables meet or exceed expectations in quality, timeliness, and compliance.
- Represent Intratek at client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities across the region.
- Collaborate closely with internal recruiting and operational teams to align client needs with qualified talent and project solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of all client activity, staffing needs, sales pipeline, and forecast reporting to the VP of Sales.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in account management, client services, or business development within the IT staffing, talent acquisition, and/or IT services industry.
- Proven success in managing relationships within the public sector (city, county, state, or federal government clients).
- Demonstrated ability to grow accounts, close new business, and meet or exceed quotas.
- Strong understanding of IT staffing lifecycle and experience partnering with recruiting teams to meet client demand.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Ability and willingness to travel occasionally within Southern California.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required with relevant experience.
