As an IT Service Desk Specialist, you play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hardware, software, and network systems. You make sure that technical issues faced by end users are resolved efficiently and effectively, while keeping our systems up to date. Thanks to your technical insight, hands-on mentality, and service-oriented approach, you help support our fast-growing production environment.

Responsibilities & Key Tasks

As IT Service Desk Specialist, you are the first point of contact for colleagues with IT-related questions or problems. You offer support to end users, maintain hardware, software, and network systems, and actively contribute to improvements in our IT services. You build good relationships with all departments to ensure smooth operation of our IT environment.

  • Provide first- (and second-line) support to end users via phone, email, and ticketing system.
  • Implement and maintain the help desk ticketing system.
  • Manage the inventory of IT materials.
  • Resolve, maintain, and update hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Identify recurring problems and contribute to structural solutions.
  • Keep IT procedures and documentation on systems up-to-date.
  • Support IT projects as needed.
  • Report to the IT manager.
Qualifications, Competences & Experience
  • A strong passion for IT and relevant experience.
  • Experience providing technical assistance and support within a service desk role.
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve issues promptly.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Good command of English and Dutch.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and demonstrate responsibility and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Basic knowledge of systems such as Linux, Windows, Active Directory, Office 365, SharePoint, DNS, VLAN, SD-WAN, Remote Access, ESXi, Hyper-V, NinjaOne, N-Able, etc.
