Job Title: IT Manager Location: Rochester, NY Reports To: Director of IT Grade: 13 Overview We are seeking a proactive and strategic IT Manager to lead our global IT operations. This role is critical in supporting our diverse workforce in the US, Europe, Japan, South Korea, and China. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong technical acumen, project management skills, and a passion for building high-performing teams. Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning & Budgeting
  • Collaborate with the Director of IT to define and manage the annual IT budget.
  • Procurement & Cost Management
  • Oversee IT purchases and vendor relationships.
  • Track and optimize IT expenditures to ensure cost-effectiveness and alignment with business goals.
  • Team Leadership
  • Serve as the team lead for the IT department.
  • Partner with the Director of IT to define the team's direction, initiatives, and project roadmap.
  • Hire, train, mentor, and conduct performance reviews for IT engineers.
  • Project Management
  • Lead and execute IT projects, including:
    • Cybersecurity initiatives
    • Business systems improvements
    • Mergers and acquisitions (M&A) integration
  • Policy & Process Improvement
  • Recommend and implement improvements to IT policies, procedures, and technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
  • Help Desk Oversight
  • Manage IT help desk operations, including:
    • Break/fix support
    • Trouble ticket resolution
    • Enhancement request handling
  • Compliance & Security
  • Experience with NIST 800-171 and/or CMMC frameworks is a strong plus.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in IT management or a senior IT leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure and operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage global IT environments.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as NIST 800-171 and CMMC.
  • Qualified to work in a CMMC environment with access to CUI and ITAR data (i.e. a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR law)
Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology, or in another related discipline if applicant has sufficient IT experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of ten (10) years industry experience, including experience in IT management. Travel, domestically and internationally may occasionally be required (
