Starting Salary $65,000 - $71,500* *The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package. SUMMARY OF DUTIES The IT Manager is a newly created leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the IT department and reports to the Director of Information Technology. This position supervises a team of two (IT Specialist I and II), manages IT projects, and ensures the reliability, security, and efficiency of both cloud and on-premises systems, with a primary focus on Microsoft 365 administration, security, endpoint management, and network infrastructure ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop IT Specialist I and II, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
  • Recruit, hire, and oversee staff in key leadership and service roles.
  • Review, approve, and ensure accuracy of direct reports' timesheets, making necessary corrections and adjustments to ensure compliance with payroll policies and accurate compensation
  • Implement staff training programs and professional development initiatives in collaboration with Training Department.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and ensure clear performance expectations are set and maintained.
  • Ensure compliance with documentation, incident reporting, and quality assurance standards.
  • Foster a professional, supportive, and high-performing workplace culture.
  • User Support: Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues; ensure timely resolution and excellent customer service for all staff.
  • Microsoft 365 Administration: Oversee administration, configuration, and optimization of Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and related security/compliance portals.
  • Endpoint Management: Manage and support Microsoft Intune for device management, application deployment, and security policy enforcement.
  • Security Operations: Implement best practices for data protection and incident response.
  • Network Infrastructure Oversight: Oversee the organization's local area networks (LAN), including VLAN and VPN configuration and support, with a preference for experience managing UniFi network environments.
  • Project Management: Lead IT projects such as technology upgrades, migrations, and network enhancements, ensuring initiatives are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Operational Excellence: Develop and maintain IT operational procedures, documentation, and knowledge base articles to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers as needed.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with technology trends and recommend improvements to enhance IT service delivery, network performance, and security posture.

EDUCATION & TRAINING Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. At least 5 years of professional IT experience, including hands-on Microsoft 365 administration. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 Security/Compliance portals. Strong understanding of local area networks, VLAN configuration, and VPN's. Preferred: Minimum qualifications AND: Experience managing or supervising IT staff or teams. Microsoft 365 certifications (e.g., MS-102, MD-102, MS-500, or equivalent). Experience with UniFi or similar software defined networking environments.
