IT Manager, Infrastructure Services - SAAB : Job Details

The IT Manager, Infrastructure Services, will be responsible for IT workflow management across all areas of IT Operations, including incident and problem management, change management, service requests, lifecycle and asset management, and configuration management. The individual will aim to maximize the utilization of technology and resources to meet financial expectations.

This position involves leading and managing a team responsible for data center infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud, AI/ML, business applications, and databases for the entire Saab, Inc. enterprise.

The role requires close collaboration with the IT Support, IT Security, and Business Systems Teams to plan, design, support, and operate the IT Infrastructure securely and efficiently, adapting to the evolving business demands.

This is a hands-on position.

• Work with IT professionals to ensure hardware availability and functionality for projects.
• Manage project challenges related to risks, time, resources, and scope.
• Monitor project progress and ensure successful execution.
• Provide detailed specifications and define clear project goals.
• Document requirements and monitor updates.
• Research emerging technologies, industry trends, and threats to support product development and operational activities.
• Plan for data center development and installation based on current and future needs.
• Ensure compliance with Data Center standards and oversee software and hardware monitoring.
• Administer data center installation and maintenance.
• Analyze and deploy applications, troubleshoot data center issues, and resolve problems promptly.
• Adhere to guidelines and manage team and cross-departmental coordination.
• Develop strategies for data center capacity and maintain expertise on applications and systems.
• Ensure client satisfaction and maintain professional relationships with IT stakeholders.

Compensation Range: $128,800 - $167,400

The actual offer considers various factors including responsibilities, location, market conditions, candidate experience, skills, and education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or 10+ years of experience.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to obtain a secret clearance.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to new technologies swiftly.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and delegation skills.
• Knowledge of system security practices, hardware/software analysis, and various operating systems.
• Experience with M365, Azure, Cloud solutions, Virtualization, DR/BC, Networking, SANs, AI/ML environments, SQL, Data Lakes/Warehouses, security frameworks, scripting, and automation.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for security clearance.
