Job Summary The IT Help Desk Support Specialist I provides tier one technical support to end users, assisting with hardware, software, and video conferencing issues. This role also manages the check-in and check-out of IT equipment, ensuring accurate inventory tracking and proper device preparation. This position supports ongoing technology operations, assists with troubleshooting, and contributes to projects in areas such as cybersecurity, programming, and systems maintenance. - Provide day-to-day support for end user requests related to desktop software/hardware, telecom, and video conferencing.
- Provide support for Executive Staff, having flexible hours to accommodate executive staff as needed.
- Aid in diagnostic and repair of computer hardware and software.
- Manage the check-in and check-out process for IT equipment, including laptops, tablets, peripherals, and other technology assets.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of equipment assignments in the asset tracking system.
- Support the IT team in maintaining hardware, software, and other systems
- Assist IT Team in areas such as cybersecurity, programming, analytics, and data center management.
- Aid in the creation of training materials such as instructional videos and writing of process and procedures.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Project Management software or similar software with the ability to learn new or updated software.

- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Education and Experience:
- Required: Enrollment in a University or College program in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field, with degree completion required by December 31, 2027.
- Required: At least 1 year of IT experience (internship experience acceptable).
- Required: CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent knowledge/experience.
- Required: Experience in troubleshooting computer hardware.
- Required: Experience troubleshooting Microsoft Office and related software.
- Preferred: Familiarity with Java, .NET, JavaScript, or HTML/DHTML.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
- This job operates in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc.
