Job Description: One of our non-profit partners is looking for an entry-level IT Field Engineer for a contract-to-hire position. After 6 months of consulting work, the selected candidate may become a full-time permanent employee.The IT Field Engineer is responsible for ensuring timely, high-quality, professional technology support services for the end user community. The Field Engineer will be responsible for responding to user IT support tickets, answering the IT support helpline, installing and moving new desktop computers, as well as performing basic proactive maintenance tasks as needed.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain the smooth operation of all client workstations.
• Provide timely responses to all user support requests.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of work done.
• Inventory asset information as required.
• Perform other related tasks as requested or assigned.

Requirements:

• Entry/Junior Level Role - desire to grow as an IT professional and help the company succeed in their daily operations.
• Basic knowledge of Windows-based computer systems and software.
• Basic understanding of enterprise LAN/WAN technologies.
• Understanding of Google Apps environment.
• Well-developed organizational, analytical and communications skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted (for PC/Monitor/Printer deployment).
• Ability to physically access wiring closets and above-ceiling wiring and fixtures.
