We're looking for a hands-on Director of IT who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site environment and enjoys rolling up their sleeves while also helping shape the strategic future of IT within an organization. This is a high-impact role that offers the opportunity to act as a thought partner, managing MSPs, overseeing infrastructure projects, and helping drive critical decisions about which IT functions to outsource or bring in-house.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership and direction as a hands-on IT Director.
- Oversee external consultants and vendors, particularly a Managed Service Provider (MSP).
- Collaborate with executive leadership to define and execute the IT roadmap.
- Lead upcoming IT initiatives, including:
- Fortinet Firewall implementation
- Active Directory implementation and migration
- Circuit transitions to Granite
- IT documentation initiative
- Office relocation project
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
- Provide support across infrastructure and hardware environments.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Proven experience managing IT for a multi-site organization (healthcare or other centralized HQ with remote sites).
- Background in compliance-oriented environments (HIPAA or similar).
- Strong experience managing Managed Service Providers (MSPs).
- Demonstrated infrastructure and hardware support capabilities.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with data enablement and Power BI dashboarding.
- Familiarity with modern collaboration platforms like SharePoint.

- Must be highly self-motivated, organized, and capable of building and communicating structured plans.
- Ability to operate both tactically and strategically.
