We are looking for an IT Commodity Manager for Software Lincenses. This hybrid position is based in Alpharetta GA or Orlando FL and currently requires on-site collaboration twice a week. This Individual Contributor role is part of an IT Procurement team within the Siemens Corporate Pooling Indirect Material Supply Chain Management Organization. As the Commodity Manager, you will interact with diverse suppliers as you work to strategically lead your assigned commodities to preferred supplier partners. You will build and strengthen relationships with internal Siemens customers, Information Technology, Procurement, Finance, and other colleagues across the globe. Your primary goal will be to lead your assigned Commodity and be the procurement expert on your cross functional team. You will develop, implement, and own the commodity strategy to secure competitive buying positions for Siemens as you build supplier relationships, research market conditions, and coordinate demand. You will make an impact as you: Handle Siemens third-party Software licensing procurement, to include: implementing commodity strategies, managing supplier relationships, contract negotiation and execution, and reporting target achievement results. Ensure alignment with overall global commodity strategy. Provide customer service to key customers and end-users by managing deadlines, driving best practices and cost reductions for your category. Be responsible for overall procurement process - manage RFQ/RFP process, negotiate agreements including price, terms and conditions in alignment with subject matter experts (Legal, Cybersecurity, Data Privacy and IT) to finalize a complete contract. Approve purchasing requisitions, execute SOWs/Quotes, etc. Analyze, identify, and coordinate efforts to develop and implement strategic initiatives and programs to drive cost savings opportunities, supply base optimization, cash flow improvement and eSourcing. Track and input results into appropriate Siemens tracking tools. Manage Siemens internal customer relationships. Bring supplier innovation to Siemens internal customers. Perform other duties as assigned (duties and responsibilities may be rebalanced at any time). Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities You'll win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher required from an accredited university or college. 2 years of experience in sourcing or selling software licenses. Demonstrable knowledge in Supply Chain Management, Strategic Sourcing, Commodity Management, Procurement Market Analysis (PMA), and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) Demonstrated strategic negotiation and problem-solving skills, including experience with large international companies High-level organization skills and customer service oriented. Cross functional/organizational project management and facilitation skills. Ability to work independently and in a VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous) environment. Solid understanding of IT, software services, procurement markets, conditions, and processes Ability to communicate diplomatically in both oral and written formats across all levels of hierarchy. Advanced skills using Microsoft Office 365 15% travel required. Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship unless a current Siemens employee. Preferred Qualifications: Additional languages (German, Spanish, Portuguese) MRP/ERP (Oracle, SAP, OneSRM, etc...) demand planning Experience in working with IT organizations Experience in intercultural relations or within an international environment CPSM certification You'll benefit from: Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to our employees. The pay range for this position is $73,500 - $126,000.
