At our plants in Germany, the USA, China and the Netherlands, we produce intermediates and derivatives.Job PurposeThe “IT Business Applications Specialist” maintains the IT business application portfolio and its associated server / client systems in the regional US sites.The position will act in accordance with the Group's Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines and international standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, and HSE standards.Main Tasks And ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the deployment, operation and support of the local IT business application portfolioSupports the application portfolio rationalization, consolidation and standardization processesAssist in global software Release- and Change Management and digitalization initiativesAid business functional application strategies with the management functions of ITManage and develop Customer relationship to capture feedback to improve the IT supportCapture business demand and identify solutions in coordination between Business and ITActing as liaison between Business Process Owner / Subject Matter Experts (SME's) and the IT teamsAct as project manager in IT projectsOversees various projects involving business functions, contractors, end users and IT resourcesSupport the day to day maintenance and incident management of the IT and business applications in cooperation with customer internal organisations and 3rd party support personalCreates application and system documentationSupports the expansion of the emergency managementLocal support to implement cybersecurity measuresTrain end users in Microsoft application usageEducation RequirementsBachelor degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent years of experienceBackground And ExperienceITIL Service Management Processes (Incident, Change and Problem Management processes).Experience with support of special business applications and systems used in functional areas like Laboratory, Manufacturing and EngineeringSignificant experience / success working in global teamsExperience working in an IT Service Center environment5-7 years' experience in an IT & Business FunctionSeveral years of professional experience with Microsoft systems (Windows 11, Windows Server, SQL Server)Experience with Microsoft 365 applicationsProject and demand managementCompetencies And SkillsExcellent customer service and troubleshooting skillsDemonstrated written, verbal, and listening communication skills.Strong knowledge in incident and problem managementProven understanding of server and IT technologies, processes, and proceduresAbility to balance competing demands for resources and adapt to changing prioritiesMaintain a high level of flexibility in a corporate enterprise environmentHighly organized and detail orientedNotable Working Conditions: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
