Position Title: Financial (EPM) Systems Specialist / Analyst

Location: Hybrid (White Plains, NY 2 x s per week and remote)

Company Overview:

Our direct CPG client, is in the midst of a significant Digital Transformation journey, with a focus on streamlining financial processes and enhancing reporting capabilities. As part of this initiative, they are transitioning from nine disparate ERPs to a unified Oracle solution.

They have implemented Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) to optimize financial close processes, budgeting, management reporting, and tax management.

Position Overview: They are seeking a hands-on and experienced Financial IT Applications Analyst/ Specialist to join their growing finance team during this critical phase of their Digital Transformation. The ideal candidate will have a background in finance processes coupled with expertise in leveraging technology solutions, particularly Oracle EPM (formerly Hyperion), to drive efficiencies and automation. This position will focus on the development of Oracle EPM system collaborating and bridging the gap between business users for optimization, continuous improvement, integration and adding functionalities.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Financial Analyst who will gain experience or is well versed in Oracle EPM or Hyperion looking for supported career development and progression.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the finance organization, including accounting and FP&A teams, to understand their needs and challenges during the transition phase.
  • Work with teams in the identification of business requirements, functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to evaluate, develop, setup, test and implement new functionality, business processes and procedures
  • Participate in data integration, data mapping, and data validation activities between EPM Cloud applications and external systems
  • Configure, test, deploy and manage integrations, data load rules, dimensions, forms and reports across the suite of products
  • Define data mapping from source system to the target system
  • Drive and Improve user adoption through training and demonstrating the benefits
  • Serve as a bridge between technology and finance, providing expertise on how to effectively utilize the Oracle EPM tool to achieve desired outcomes such as automated close processes and trial balance reconciliations.
  • Work closely with their system implementation partner to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure smooth integration of EPM with their ERP solution (Oracle Fusion).
  • Lead efforts to optimize chart of accounts configurations within EPM and facilitate necessary adjustments for integration with Oracle Fusion from legacy Peoplesoft.
  • Act as a liaison with system integrator's solution experts to address technical challenges and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in financial systems analyst roles, preferably with hands-on experience in Oracle (Hyperion) EPM or similar enterprise performance management tools.
  • Knowledge of EPM lifecycle, including requirement gathering, process,, testing, migration, and maintenance.
  • Prior experience in Financial/BI Reporting or Information Systems Administration Understanding of Oracle Fusion or other ERP systems
  • Strong understanding of financial processes, including financial close, budgeting, and management reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both finance and technology stakeholders.
  • Experience working closely with system implementation partners and management consulting firms preferred (e.g., Accenture, Deloitte).
  • Passion for driving efficiencies and leveraging technology to transform business processes.
  • Experience in operationalizing a recently implemented tool to optimize business functions would be highly advantageous, particularly in adherence to change management principles essential for seamless integration and adoption of new technology.

Reporting Structure: The Finance Transformation Techno-Functional Specialist will report directly to the Controller.
