Under supervision, provides technical expertise, support, management, and administration of networks, servers, databases, PCs, and applications in a Microsoft/Cisco network environment. IT Analyst I This is the entry-level position for the IT Analyst series. The position works under direct supervision and requires a foundation in technical computer skills and systems. The position requires strong oral and written communication skills; ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships at all organizational levels; ability to quickly adapt, learn and apply new skills; ability to provide IT-related customer and computer support. The IT Analyst I will demonstrate an aptitude and work ethic that is well suited for a multi-tasking, fast-paced environment. IT Analyst II This is a journey-level technical position requiring knowledge of, and prior job experience with Microsoft and/or Cisco enterprise production environments. The incumbent works under general supervision and provides support of networks, servers, and databases, along with related equipment and software. The position requires a high degree of technical IT skill in addition to the skills and abilities of the IT Analyst I as listed above. IT Analyst III This is an advanced journey-level position requiring a high level of knowledge and experience of Microsoft and/or Cisco production environments. The IT Analyst III candidate will have demonstrated abilities to work with limited supervision and will have completed projects of varying size and complexity working as the project lead. The IT Analyst III may have earned industry recognized certifications with Microsoft or Cisco, or may have demonstrated experience and skills in the following concentrations: network administration, server and enterprise systems, database administration, advanced business systems, or web and software development. IT Analyst III The Analyst III will aid the Information Technology Manager with development of plans and budgets in support of short- and long-term needs. In addition to the duties of an IT Analyst I/II, Analysts at this level are expected to perform comprehensive work in one or more of the following concentrations: Network Administration Track
- Performs router and switch programming.
- Maintains firewalls, configure policies and rules for access.
- Coordinates large-scale network projects to improve connectivity and reliability.
- Assists departments with IT-related radio and microwave systems, including allocating networks and troubleshooting equipment.
