Department Profile Bank Resource Management (BRM) is a federal function within the Institutional Securities Group (ISG) responsible for secured funding, liquidity, collateral management, margin optimization, CCP relationship management and managing capital / balance sheet / liquidity across ISG. This is accomplished through the sourcing, pricing, optimization, and distribution of resources across Morgan Stanley's businesses, within Firm-established targets and limits while supporting the Firm's strategic efforts to optimize resources allocation and maximize returns Description of ISG Resource Management ISG Resource Management is a business area within BRM responsible for overseeing the centralized management, allocation, and distribution of the Firm's key resources, including but not limited to liquidity, balance sheet and capital. To achieve this, the team is works with its partners across Sales & Trading and Banking to lead cross product/market initiatives. Key responsibilities of the role include: Lead strategic projects to enhance resource usage efficiency and optimization opportunities across Sales & Trading, Banking and support functions Solve complex problems with a focus on capital, balance sheet, and liquidity resources to optimize and create capacity for Morgan Stanley's Institutional Securities Group Conduct in-depth cross-product analyses to aid strategic decisions involving optimization of resource footprint Synthesize new/modified trading structures based on new capital framework to drive resource savings and meet client demand Assist in development of new technology and strat tools to inform decision making and provide transparency across key resource metrics Produce presentations for senior management, client, and regulatory meetings The successful candidate will be based in New York and will be responsible for managing global projects, analyzing large data sets, and summarizing complex topics in presentations for senior management . They will partner with Sales and Trading, Banking, Operations, Technology, Legal, and Finance to drive initiatives. Skills Required: 1 to 3 years' experience in financial services industry preferred Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication with strong inter-personal skills to identify and resolve issues across wide range of stakeholders Ability to manage, prioritize and communicate effectively within a team High degree of independence, motivation and self-development Innovative mind set with an ability to develop analyses using existing / new tools across large cross-product/business data sets Ability to set, track, achieve, and report on short/long term strategic initiatives Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task and work in dynamic environment Proficient in Microsoft Office Python and SQL skills preferred Background in financial services is preferred Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $90,000 and $120,000 per year at the commencement of employment for Analyst , and $120,000 and $180,000 per year at the commencement of employment for Associate. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
