Job Overview:

The IS Business Relationship Manager is the person who liaises between departments and coordinate the IS activities within B&H. This is a trained professional who understands the business area very well and performs a variety of duties designed to maintain relationships, exchange information and promote operations. The IS Liaison will work closely with the business and IS teams to ensure that business needs and requirements are being addressed across Plan, Build, and Execution areas. Responsible for the intake and oversight (you should be aware of the project movement even once the PM is involved.) of projects and enhancements to the systems used by his/her respective department, and for identifying technology solutions to meet evolving business needs with an excellent understanding of the application and technology lifecycle management.

Essential Responsibilities:

* To be the focal point of contact for the business teams to work with IS. This could be new initiatives, enhancements, bug fixes or maneuvering within the IS operating procedures.

* Help with scoping out requests by bringing various business and technical teams together.

* To understand the business needs and help translate for various IS groups exactly what is the best way to meet business requirements and expectations. Serve as the go-across various IS groups.

* Constantly be involved and on top of the IS work that is being done for the business departments and ensure that work is being conducted within IS per the priorities of the business. Act as a program manager for various initiatives within IS.

* Build strong relationships with the director and various business managers and various people within the IS department to ensure cohesive working relationships.

* Regular meetings/check-ins with the business managers to be on top of their problems/needs and help with problem solving.

* See gaps/needs within the IS process, bring to the attention of the IS Director

* Identifies alternative solutions, assesses feasibility and makes recommendations typically seeking to exploit and leverage new or existing IS components for the department.

* Understand the business issue, assist the business with solution evaluation, know what departments will be involved/affected and make sure all affected parties are notified of the status / progress.

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Great organizational skills and experience of running projects in previous roles. Strong analytical and data manipulation skills

* A passion for using technology for solving problems

* A willingness to contribute to the overall development of the company, taking on responsibility or additional duties that may fall outside the general duties listed above
