Institutional Property Advisors ( IPA or the Company ), a division of Marcus & Millichap, Inc. (NYSE: MMI), is seeking a financial analyst to join a top-producing capital markets team located in Washington D.C.

The candidate will be responsible for financial modeling, producing marketing materials, and delivering market analysis to secure debt and equity financing for commercial real estate clients.

The anticipated salary range for candidates working in Bethesda, MD, is $80,000 - $115,000 per year plus bonus. The final salary will depend on experience, education, and other factors. Marcus & Millichap is a multi-state employer; this range may not apply to other states.

This is a 100% on-site role at our Bethesda, MD office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze transactions and prepare executive summaries for offering memoranda.
  • Develop pro-forma financials and cash flow models.
  • Research economic, demographic, and real estate market data.
  • Prepare presentations, offering memoranda, and financial reports.
  • Review and analyze legal documents.
  • Interact with clients, prospective buyers, investors, and sales agents.
  • Manage the timely execution of special projects.
    • Key Attributes/Experience:
  • 2-5 years of experience in commercial real estate advisory, banking, or valuation.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or related field preferred.
  • Strong Excel and Argus modeling skills.
  • Experience with debt financing of commercial real estate and multifamily assets.
  • Preferred experience with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and HUD loan products.
  • High attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks during time-sensitive situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Independent worker with a team-oriented attitude.
  • Flexible and adaptable to change.
