Mobile App Developer iOS/Android

Client is seeking an iOS Developer who is motivated by variety, is seeking a challenging environment for professional growth, and is interested in supporting an Investor-Owned Utility client headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana. The ideal candidate has a strong background in iOS development and experience in Android to help design, build, and maintain our mobile applications. They will have a deep understanding of the iOS development lifecycle and native technologies, combined with the ability to work on a shared codebase or assist with native Android projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain advanced applications for iOS using Swift and/or Objective-C, X-Code, and Python.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of iOS applications.
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and backend engineers, to define and design new features.
  • Stay up to date with new mobile technologies and industry trends.
  • Contribute to code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering or related field with 8+ years of professional mobile app development experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Proficient in Swift and/or Objective-C, X-Code, and Python for iOS development.
  • Solid understanding of mobile app architecture, design patterns (MVC, MVVM), and RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with third-party libraries, APIs, and version control tools (e.g., Git).
  • Knowledge of mobile security best practices.
  • Experience with Python.
  • Experience publishing apps to the App Store and Google Play Store.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with cross-platform development frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with mobile application development for Android is a plus.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a plus.
  • Experience working with cross-platform development tools or frameworks is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools for mobile.
  • AI Chatbot development experience is a plus.
  • Experience with analytics tools is a plus.

Position Details:

  • Pay Rate / Range: $63. The above salary range represents the range expected for the position; however, final salary offers are based on a number of factors such as the position's responsibilities; the candidate's experience, education, and skills; location; travel required; and current market conditions.
