Ion Tech 2nd - American Crystal Sugar Company : Job Details

The Ion Technician will be responsible for operating the MDS plant in a safe, sanitary and efficient manner according to established guidelines. MDS is defined as the entire operation of molasses desugarization including shipping and receiving of molasses & all co-products associated with molasses, and operation of the water treatment plant. Principle accountabilities include but are not limited to:Responsible as the operator/maintainer and accountable for all aspects in the MDS area. Provides high quality extract to either the factory or extract storage tanks. Coordinates the activities of Ion Helper and Molasses Loader (HLB). Monitors Rosemont or Delta V computer system; makes adjustments through a computer keyboard as needed. Collects samples from the process and completes and documents various lab analyses. Encodes analytical results into the computerized lab information management system.
