Role and ResponsibilitiesCandidate would be part of Fixed Income Application Support team, interfacing with Rates Front Office users within Fixed Income Trading.
· Act as frontline support for electronic trading systems used by Jefferies Fixed Income Trading desks.
· Interact with traders and sales teams and analyze their requests and issues.
· Troubleshoot issues and field questions on production systems addressing issues ranging from missing trades to exchange connectivity problems and systems outages
· Work with support and development teams to implement solutions.
· Participate in requirements gathering and implementation of projects, providing tactical support to the trading desks.
· Monitor daily tasks and status of the e-trading platform, trouble shooting of issues, communicating with the end users.
· Driving process improvements for the e-trading platform by collaborating with development team as well as with other key stake holders.
· Liaise with infrastructure (hardware/networking) and cloud teams
· Be responsible for tracking bugs and stability issues that affect the production environment and lead changes to mitigate these issues.
· Document procedures and troubleshooting FAQs.
Qualifications and Education Requirements5-10 years of experience in Financial Services Technology. Experience in sell-side Capital Markets and supporting a Swaps desk highly desired.
Preferred Skills· Experience with ION Trading software highly desired.
· Understanding of Swaps (highly desirable) and Rates Fixed Income markets, including trading protocols, product knowledge including pricing and risk.
· Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows OS
· Understanding of relational databases, SQL queries.
· Excellent communication, time management and project management skills.
Additional NotesThis is a senior position focus on Front Office interactions. Knowledge of ION Trading software and Interest Rates Swaps is highly desired.
