Job Summary: As a Ratings Advisory Associate in the Investment Banking Division, you will play a key role in the origination and execution of the firm's business.

You will develop strong relationships with corporate and financial institution clients, as well as key decision makers at rating agencies.

Your responsibilities include advising clients on deals across various banking products such as mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, leveraged buy-outs, restructurings, debt/loan, and equity capital raises. You will develop functional skills in investment banking and aim to become a senior banker capable of generating and executing transactions.

  • Supporting senior bankers in deal execution and client interactions.
  • Drafting and refining marketing and execution materials for maximum client impact.
  • Creating and reviewing financial projection models and rating agency models.
  • Conducting analytic work to facilitate marketing and deal processes.
  • Managing risks associated with deals.
  • Liaising with internal and external parties such as lawyers, accountants, and counterparties.
  • Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related fields.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a credit rating agency, ratings advisory, investment banking front office, credit risk, or related roles.
    • Experience with credit rating agency methodologies.
    • Strong skills in accounting, finance, quantitative analysis, and business writing.
    • Understanding of the transaction cycle with an execution-oriented approach.
    • Excellent communication skills for interacting with senior professionals, clients, and stakeholders.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, with a capacity to synthesize information and develop innovative solutions.
    • Adaptability to manage projects independently and take on responsibilities as part of a team.

    Compensation: Base salary in New York, NY ranges from $175,000 to $225,000 annually.
