Client: Insurance ProviderRole: Investment Accounting ManagerSalary: $140,000 - $170,000/annuallyLocation: New York City (On-Site)About the role: Our client, a specialty insurance provider, is seeking an Investment Accounting Manager to join the New York-based team. This is a fully on-site role focused on overseeing investment-related financial reporting and data integrity.Responsibilities:

• Lead recurring accounting cycles and ensure investment data is accurate and complete.
• Maintain and update investment systems with key data points (e.g., pricing, classifications, credit metrics).
• Prepare and review financial disclosures under GAAP and STAT, including internal reporting packages.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Controllers, Tax, Treasury) and external partners.
• Support audits and maintain strong internal controls.
• Deliver insights and reports to senior leadership.
• Contribute to process enhancements and special projects.
• Research and interpret new accounting guidance and complex investment structures.
• Supervise and mentor two senior accountants.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Accounting.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience; insurance or financial services background preferred.
• Strong understanding of investment products and accounting standards.
• Proficiency with Clearwater Analytics and Oracle GL is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical mindset.
• Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven leadership and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
