Inventory Technician II

As the Inventory Technician II, you will execute and monitor the material, inventory tracking, and reordering process. You will also coordinate the efficient distribution of products to satisfy customer demand. You will have technical and administrative competence to organize and support manufacturing. You will report to the Supervisor, Manufacturing.

You will support manufacturing activities/schedule for the hours of 6PM-6:30AM, 2-2-3 schedule.

How you will contribute:

  • Execute material transfers including non-hazardous, hazardous, and flammable chemicals to support manufacturing schedule adherence.
  • Maintain a visual replenishment program of materials using lean manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain records of materials in inventory and on order.
  • Compile inventory records.
  • Reconcile discrepancies in inventories.
  • Compile information on receipt and transfer of materials.
  • Resolve questions and problems and refer only most complex issues to higher levels.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety first in compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS). Understand Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) packets.
  • Must have experience with inventory management.
  • May require immunization before performing work within the manufacturing area.

What you bring to Takeda:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Requires high school diploma or GED plus 2+ years of experience or associates' degree or higher and 1+ years of related work experience
  • Knowledge of cGMP manufacturing.
  • You will be proficient in multiple mathematical disciplines and be able to work with both the metric and USA standards of measurement.
  • Have experience with inventory management.
  • Experience handling pallet-jacks, pallet trucks, and forklifts.
  • Can carry up to 25 lbs., lift up to 50 lbs., and push/pull > 100 lbs. (with the assistance of material handling equipment).

Important Considerations

  • Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.
  • Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.
  • Work in a cold, wet environment.
  • Ability to work in a clean room environment for extended periods of time.
  • Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours and holidays to support project execution on an infrequent basis.
  • Can stand for extended periods of time over an entire 8 or 12-hour shift.
  • Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • May work in a confined area.
