JOB SUMMARY The Inventory Specialist is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting of all client inventory levels. The Inventory Specialist will be a problem solver, digging into inventory information, performing root cause analyses, and implementing policies and procedures. The Inventory Specialist will work in unison with the Forecasting team as well as cross-departmental personnel on a daily basis to ensure that proper marketing materials are delivered correctly and in a timely manner. RESPONSIBILITIES Track and measure defined Key Performance Indicator's (KPI's) to align with SGI and client goals/expectations for reporting and consulting purposes Monitor, analyze, and report all inventory item levels Set up and maintain items in inventory management systems Coordinate with material production vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials Receive and resolve client inquiries by assigning internal responsibilities, coordinating collaboration, and ultimately communicating resolution back to the appropriate individual(s) Coordinate with internal partners and personnel to ensure timely availability of materials for marketing production Coordinate with internal IT and Warehouse personnel to research and provide answers to client requests Apply analytical skills to resolve inventory issues, identify root causes and corrective actions, and implement policies and procedures to amplify continuous improvement DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE Proven organizational and problem-solving abilities Strong process analysis skills - must work to understand current processes and possess the ability to recognize gaps and areas for improvement within those Strong oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills Strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability to deliver on commitments Able to work independently and prioritize multiple objectives in a rapidly-changing environment Flexibility to manage changing priorities and/or methods with minimal notice while maintaining a positive attitude Establish and foster strong relationships with cross-functional partners to obtain the desired results Exceptional organizational and time management skills; must have an ability to manage deadlines Able to audit and assess processes quickly Accurately enter data and information into Excel and database management applications REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSE Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience Demonstrated achievement in mathematical and/or analytical coursework or work experience Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, and Outlook) Retail experience is a plus
